Rain

About a mile away from the end of my run this morning, it started to rain. The raindrops were big and fat and I felt them as they fell on my head and into my hair. When I was finished and was driving home, my hair was dripping.

I love how my face feels when it has been rained on, then dries.

Thank you for the rain this morning and for letting me be part of it.

Hey Aunt Deb,
I just wanted to let you know that I completed my first 5k. (No biggie for you, you run all the time!)
I will admit I just walked it (I never ever run because I get sick!)
But it was for Zoo conservation, so we ran through the zoo, and then through some cute neighborhoods around TCU. It was so nice because the area we were in was secluded from most things, and it was just breath-taking. We passed a magnificent church, and unique homes. It is interesting how much I would have missed if I just drove by the same scenery. By walking and taking it all in, it was just an awesome experience.
I hope you have those experiences when you run - a break from everything industrialized and urban.
