The other end of the spectrum (updated)

She was 62.
First symptoms in May 2007.
Arm onset.
Diagnosed August 2008.
She died yesterday.

In her words, "there is no ALS in heaven."

Update: as it happens, she fell in her room and was not discovered for several hours, very late at night, and was gone when her family found her. Makes this even more tragic.
